AWE E-Learning

The AWE e-learning programme aims to raise awareness and positively influence health behaviour of individuals and communities, with a special focus on dementia and depression prevention.

The AWE e-learning includes modules on:

Dementia Asia - Brain

Emotional Literacy First Aid (ELFA)

ELFA is an online training programme which aims to:

  • Identify the psychological crisis amongst individuals in the community.
  • Explain the common risks for mental health distress and different mental health disorders.

It was developed by subject experts at the Mind Science Centre and will be available through Singapore Red Cross Academy. ELFA is free and suitable for anyone including youth volunteers, working adults, healthcare professionals, and the general public.

  1. Explain the concepts of mental wellness and illness
  2. Explain how brain functioning is involved in mental health
  3. Identify the biological and environmental factors contributing to mental health and explain how they interact
  4. Explain the differences between normal stress responses and mental illness

  2. List the signs and symptoms associated with different mental illnesses
  3. Explain how to approach, support, and respond to someone based on their mental health condition
